One of the most wonderful things you can do, that will enjoin all your human senses is to take a walk in nature, but before you do, it makes sense to learn a little bit about it, so that your critical eye can catch the essence of all you see, hear and smell. One can have their senses overwhelmed by nature if they become one with it. Of course, there are those who ride their mountain bikes, motorcycles or hike through a nature trail and miss most all of the good stuff, it's easy to do. It's just as easy to get lost in thought from all the sounds, sights and smells. It is extremely important to teach your kids to respect and understand nature. It can be a dangerous place and a peaceful place all at the same time. There are poisonous snakes, insects and plants and yet they all live in their eco-systems surrounded by the greatest beauty that the life experience has to offer. To the trained eye, one flower no longer looks like another, but rather a completely different species, providing a different niche, requiring different amounts of water, soil nutrients and sun. The tiny critters you hear scampering away, some are curious and are watching you at all times, and others seek immediate refuge, in case you are another predator intent on eating them for lunch. For the most part humans are at the top of the food chain in nature, but wild animals live their too, such as bears, mountain lions and even packs of wolves. To them you may seem a threat or perhaps their dinner, but either way, you need to learn all you can about nature, before you partake of its beauty. So, think on this.
