Vitamin K and B-3 Beneficial to Skin

Vitamin K and Vitamin B-3, also known as niacin, have long been known to have non-skin related health benefits, but recent studies have shown that both vitamins have dermatological applications.

"Vitamins continue to be reorganized as having an important role to play in the health of the body," says Dr David Smith, chief researcher at SkinWhite Research Labs. 'New studies have shown that Vitamin K and niacin are beneficial to the skin, particularly for the problems involving pigmentation and dry skin."

Vitamin K plays an important role in blood clotting, and studies have shown it to maintain strong bones in the elderly. However, dermatologists have recently found Vitamin K to be successful on the treatment of dark circles under the eyes and bruising on the face.

A recent study included two groups, one that applied an under-eye cream containing sunscreen and another that applied an under-eye cream containing a combination of Vitamin K and retinol. An examination of the under-eye colour at the beginning of the study and at the end found a significant lightening in the group using the vitamin K and retinol combination.

Vitamin K has also recently been studied for its effects on reducing bruising following certain dermatological procedures. Those patients who applied the Vitamin K after the procedure noticed a significant reduction in the severity of bruising.

One derivative of niacin, nicotinamide, has been shown to improve the ability of the epidermis to retain moisture. In a recent study, topical nicotinamide was applied to the skin for six-days. Following the study, all patients reported softer, smoother skin, less dryness and flakiness, and a reduction in lines.

"The benefits to the skin after application of nicotinamide can be useful for patients with atopic dermatitis, who often experience dry, irritated skin when the disease flares," suggests Dr Smith. "This could be another promising treatment for ageing skin, which often becomes dry and flaky as we age."

Niacinamide, another derivative, has also been shown to be an effective skin lightening agent, especially for skin condition where hyperpigmentation may occur on the face or other visible part of the body. Patients with hyperpigmentation were analyzed by computer and most patients experienced decreased hyperpigmentation and increased skin lightness.

Topical niacinamide has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which makes it a potential treatment for acne, rosacea and any blistering-type disease. Recent studies also noted that niacin and its derivatives have chemopreventative effects. When applied to mouse skin, topical nicotinamide produced a 70 per cent decrease in ultra-violet-induced skin cancer.

10 Super Foods You Must Include In Your Organic Garden

When planning your organic garden most people think about the obvious. That is the vegetable plot, or number of plots. That is where we grow most of our organic food requirements.

If we think a little outside the box (or plot for us gardeners) we can include many more foods that are extremely beneficial to our long term health and quality of life. Some foods are now becoming well recognised as nutritional heavyweights when it comes to anti-oxidants, a healthy heart and cancer fighting properties.

Below are a list of 10 Super Foods that will greatly benefit your health and beauty.

1. Walnuts are an excellent source of plant based omega 3 fatty acids, known for fighting heart disease. They are also packed with micronutrients, antioxidants and plant sterol, which lower cholesterol. Eat nuts in moderation though as they are high in calories - perhaps a handful five times a week.

2. Blueberries are high in antioxidants, low in calories and contain fibre, folic acid, carotenoids, as well as vitamins C and E. Freezing does not reduce their value.

3. Citrus Fruits are rich in vitamin C, high in fibre and contain folic acid.

4. Pumpkin provides fibre, contains potassium and carotenoids (the antioxidants found in orange, yellow, red and dark green vegetables).

5. Beans both fresh and dried green beans are rich in the B vitamins and potassium. They may have even more antioxidants than blueberries and as much cholesterol-lowering fibre as oats (another super-food). They also are an excellent source of lean protein.

6. Avocados contain healthy mono-unsaturated fatty acids, helping to lower bad cholesterol. They also contain antioxidants, potassium, magnesium, folate and fibre. Avocado helps your body to absorb more nutrients from other foods; such as when you eat tomato and avocado together in a salad.

7. Brassicas contain lots of vitamin C and some other useful phyto-nutrients. They are also high in calcium, folate, carotenoids, potassium and fibre.

8. Kiwi Fruit are brimming with vitamin C and potassium. The skin is packed with flavonoid antioxidants (I place whole kiwi fruits in my juicer so I benefit from the skin without the fuzzy texture). Another benefit is that it fruits in late autumn (fall) when other fruits are scarce.

9. Tomatoes especially when cooked have cancer-fighting lycopene, plus they are packed with vitamins A and C.

10. Olives are a great source of vitamin E, producing an antioxidant effect and they are also concentrated in monounsaturated fats. Olives also have some beneficial active phytonutrient compounds including polyphenols and flavonoids. Some of the benefits you can expect from including olives in your daily diet include: protection from heart disease; cellular protection from free radicals; anti-inflammatory benefits; improved gastrointestinal health. When buying olive oil, always choose extra virgin, cold pressed olive oil, for maximum health benefits.

There are many other fruits, nuts and vegetables that are extremely beneficial to your health and long term well being - but these are my top ten. Yes, some of these plants do take up more space than you may have available.

Or maybe you don't plan to live in the same home to see your trees mature and provide you with fruit. You could keep nut trees pruned to a suitable size. Some fruit trees will grow happily for many years in pots, given the right love and attention.

If these foods seem a little too healthy for and you have a taste for the sweeter things in life, dark chocolate is packed with antioxidants so it's on my list of yummy things to occasionally indulge in - along with a full-bodied glass of red every other night!

Hi, I am an avid organic gardener and am known by my friends as the recycling queen. I live on a small country property in South Australia.

It is my mission to encourage as many people as possible to start organic gardening ( I know you'll become addicted). This will improve both our individual lives and the wellbeing of our personal and global environments.

Communication As a Foundation to Leadership

The rudiments of communication are well known: there's a source, an encoding, and a decoding of a message. This seems rather simple, but faulty communication is one of the biggest failures of leadership - and of projects, processes, even entire organizations. Communication at the leadership level is much more than the basics. It involves your abilities as a leader in communication, as well as your facilitation of better communication and an environment that encourages it. Let's look at the nuts and bolts of a leader's communication.

Our first leadership foundation was emotional intelligence or EI. EI comes in very handy in communication: you must first be assured that you say the right things at the right times. Leaders can be bold, no-holds barred communicators, and in some cases it works - think about great political and military leaders whose personal communication made them attractive. But modern leaders must be aware of all of those around them, their motivations, their "taboos", and their "hot buttons". Be aware of how you say things, whether it's to your family, your community non-profit, or your employees. Use your EI as a meter for whether it's appropriate to say what's on your mind, edit it, or keep the thought or idea to yourself. From this EI-based communication, you'll be able to develop clear speech that is well expressed in all situations - and to all audiences.

What about the other "half" of your communication ability as a leader? This is the listening part, where you must actively take in what's being said. Again, it may seem simple, but think about it the next time someone is speaking to you on a rough day, when you're stressed, or when you're preoccupied with another problem. You must show an interest in what people are saying and show an understanding for it. Paraphrasing at intervals is a great way to do this. It's often been said that one of Abraham Lincoln's best leadership traits was his ability to listen - and then ask questions for clarity. When you do this, you're not only showing an interest but you're also making sure you've got all the facts straight before moving on.

After the basics comes your true leadership test. You must create an atmosphere that encourages open, honest communication between all members of the group. This is much easier said than done. You should look at yourself and the group objectively to see who is comfortable communicating and who isn't. You should also try to find out why they are - or aren't comfortable. Open round table discussions are often a great way to encourage communication, as are brainstorming sessions. Your group, be it a family, community, or corporate group, can be encouraged if you set up a "recrimination free" zone in which communication occurs without the threat of negative feedback. Again, look at yourself to make sure you are communicating openly at all levels of the group. Make adjustments if necessary and keep moving.

While you are creating that open atmosphere, be aware of common barriers to communication - and make bold attempts to remove them. Are there cultural barriers? If you're working in an international group or groups from varying backgrounds, you may have misunderstandings of the communication styles of those backgrounds. Take the time to discover and educate the group. What about perception? Sometimes it's good to ask group members about their perceptions of the atmosphere - and prepare for honesty. Is non-verbal communication an issue? Do people in the group cross their arms, yawn, or roll their eyes when someone else is talking? The hard part of this is making sure you are not the barrier to communication: do you do any of the things we've just discussed?

Taking communication theory into the real world is another issue. Does your family communicate in a healthy way? Can you do something to encourage it, such as bringing up a topic at the dinner table or creating a bulletin board for busy family members to connect? Community organizations sometimes lend themselves to poor communication - usually everyone involved has a "real job" and other commitments, so back and forth exchanges sometimes fall to the bottom of the list. Suggest an informal, open forum in addition to your next board meeting, where members can talk about what's going on in their lives - and how that affects their contribution. In corporate situations, a simple brainstorming session is sometimes the best way to encourage all involved to talk. If you're working with a project team, watch for members who don't communicate and put them together in the same room, with your assistance as a mediator.

Communication as a leader can be simple - you must be prepared to first look at your own style and then at the style of others. Do what you can to encourage communication and it will fall into place. You'll find that things run much smoother when everyone is talking - and listening.

An Angel in Disguise

One day so many years ago

a little boy was sent,

nurtured in his mother's womb

a love that would not end.

We soon realized that he was

a special boy indeed.

And we would need the grace of Him

who had sown this special seed.

We nurtured him and prayed for grace

as many years went by;

yes, he was a special boy and

sometimes it made us sigh.

But we knew that he was one

sent from the realms above,

to rid us from ourselves

and fill our hearts with love.

We nurtured and cared for him,

our special boy indeed.

God's grace was sufficient*

as his needs we tried to meet.

"I Never Promised you a Rose Garden,"

is a song that we've heard sung.

It is true that life wouldn't be that way

but with it heartache would come.

"I didn't promise I would take

all of your grief away.

I required that of you

to walk through the water-way.

As you sometimes tumbled and fell,

I lifted you up and held

you lovingly in my arms,

reminding you that I felt

the sorrow you were going through

and the love that mingled in.

Remember that I gave my Son

to rid the world from sin."*

"But it hurt my heart even though

I knew His purpose then.

But it took you longer and even now

you question why and when

that your rose garden turned to dust

along the years you trod.

But, soon you learned that I am not

a God to be put in a box.

I am Almighty God

My name is El Shaddai.*

Mighty is an attribute

to you I did supply.

So now Derrick's work is done;

he has entered through the door.

He was known before, then and after

and his spirit WOW, did it soar!

There were those who were waiting

at the doorway of heaven's gates,

welcoming him into the place which shows

the matchlessness of God's grace."*

Jesus carried Derrick

right into the throne of grace.

"Run," he said, "you are complete

no more infirmities in this race!"*

The race of all eternity

our God had planned for all

of us who have been redeemed,

and His "little ones" who were called.

In ages past He had a plan

only a few can be a part.

A special child in their life

to give themselves a start

to see the heart of God

Who was in you to form,

and grow by leaps and bounds

deposited to conform

you in the very image

of Jesus and He says

"Derrick came to live within your home

and now I will do the rest."

He is waiting for your coming,

he is running all throughout

eternities past, present and future

for "they are all one* he shouts!

"So when you felt overwhelmed

and I seemed so far away,*

you were daily looking at My grace

as you looked into Derrick's sweet face.

You will meet him, and Me, at heaven's door

where that great cloud of witnesses convene.*

So now you curl up in My lap and see

that "I Am"* will redeem

all the broken plans

that was in your hearts;

don't despair, I understand

and in this plan I played a part.

I am the Great Jehovah*

don't put me in a box.

I am too large to fit inside

as your journey took a rock!

But now grab onto

the Peace I have for you.

I am to you Jehovah-Shalom*

I am your Comforter for sure.

Love,

El Shaddai*

The World of Flamingos

Flamingos are not native to North America, but we have had a fascination with them anyway! Starting in the 50's, flamingos have inhabited lawns all across the U.S. There was a 50's "doo wop" group called by that name and even a move with that title. And there are literally thousands of streets, hotels and other businesses with the name attached.

The name 'flamingo' comes from a Latin word meaning "flame". The ancient Greeks worshipped them as the Sun God, Ra. But later Roman cultures just ate them.

Habitat

Flamingos are found from Yucatan and West Indies to the northeastern coast of South America. They are very social birds and live in large groups for protection, called pats, usually of about 70-75 birds. They are the national bird of the Bahamas. They live and breed in areas of standing water, such as lagoons, shallow ponds and hot mud flats. The latter is how they got the name of "Firebird."

Breeding

It takes about 3 years for the birds to get their full color and they do not breed until that occurs. Mating dances are performed with head bobbing and grunts and squeaks. They appear to be monogamous, with the male helping to protect the eggs and young chicks.

The female will build a large mud and grass conical shaped nest, often a foot high. At the top of the nest is a shallow depression where she will usually just lay one egg. It takes about 30 days for the egg to hatch.

The mother will feed the chicks for about 75 days even though they are able to eat on their own earlier. There is a dispute about whether this food is reguritated as some think or a special food the mother manufactures.

Flamingos do breed well in captivity and can live about 50 years, somewhat less years in the wild. Their natural predators are few since they live in such harsh environment, but larger birds such as vultures and some species of eagles will attack the eggs and small chicks. Flamingos' worst enemy is humans who are destroying their natural habitat. They have been known to abandon nesting areas because of low-flying planes and water shortages.

Feeding

Flamingos are what is called "filter" feeders. They dip their heads underwater and scoop backwards with their heads upside down! They have small hair-like "feelers" called Lamella which catch food while the water drains. Their diet consists of fish, molluses, crustaceans, insect, and algae. Flamingos get their color because their food is rich in alpha and beta carotenoid pigments. Many zoos have been successful in introducing carrots to their flocks.

Physical Characteristics

Adult flamingos reach a height between 50-60 inches and weigh between 5-8 lbs. Their legs are longer than their bodies. They have 19 vertebrae in their necks which help with flexibility. Another boost in flexibility is what some people mistakenly consider their "knees". They are actually ankles and allow the bird to fold his legs and sit.

Flamingos have a keen sense of hearing, and although they have poor night vision, it is still better than humans. Just one of their eyes will weigh more than their brain! They can both swim and fly. Their feet are webbed for standing in soft mud and as with all birds will rest on one foot, switching back and forth. All adult flamingos have 12 black "flight" feathers in each wing.

Writing Articles - Is Keyword Optimization a Must?

If you're after higher page rankings on search engine results or if you want to achieve high numbers of hits to your site, then you should seriously consider keyword optimization.

To accomplish a higher position of your website, you need to use search engine optimization strategies which involves including keywords and keyword phrases in the content of your articles.

I wouldn't say that it is impossible for you to succeed without keyword optimization, but you will find that it's a lot easier if you employed this strategy.

Having said that, you don't need to go mad, as in the process of drafting your articles, provided your articles are closely tied in with your niche, you will automatically be including keywords and keyword phrases in your articles anyway.

There are marketers who insist that you make your articles keyword dense. They suggest that a percentage of between 3-10% keyword density is a must, but I don't think you need to concern yourself with keyword density.

What you should focus on is that your draft articles are being read by humans and not by a computer system. Therefore, it is important that the articles read logically. It is also important that articles divulge valuable information and is enticing to the reader. If you focus too much on keyword density, you may find that your article does not make sense to the reader, and if this is the case, they will not continue to read the whole of your article.

Also, your articles need to be approved by article directories, and if your article proves difficult to read, then the article directories will not accept your copy. It will be rejected until it is corrected and resubmitted.

So provided your articles are written around a tight niche, using keyword optimization techniques will be easy. Here is what you need to do.

1 - When you're writing your articles, ensure that you do not use your keywords too frequently. For instance, never use the same keyword twice in the same sentence.

2 It is important that your chosen keyword or keyword phrase is relevant to your website and to the content of your article. There is no point in having a title for your article that states you are going to talk about clocks when the main subject of your content is about alarms.

3 When you're writing your article, it is a good idea to include in the top half of your article the keywords that you wish to use so that the search engine spiders will find them. Search engine spiders do not usually search past the top half of an article.

4 Another point to remember is that you can use variations in the spelling of your keyword as well as using the plural version too.

There you have it. When writing your articles, it is important that you keep the theme of keyword optimization in the back of your mind, but there is no reason for you to go overboard. It will probably occur naturally.

Article Content Sources For Article Writers - 7 Quick Strategies You Can Use Immediately

As an article author, sometimes you can only pull so much out of your head before you need to turn to a system or a strategy for how to produce more original content.

The following are (7) types of great content sources to help you produce your next batch of 100+ quality and original articles:

Article Content Source #1: Old Ezine Articles

This includes your archives for articles that you sent your ezine from the past 10+ years. If you've created multiple articles for each email newsletter issue, I recommend that you break your old ezine articles into single article chunks rather than multi-topic articles. If you have large ezine articles from your email newsletter archive, consider breaking them down into 250-500 word chunks rather than 1,000-3,000 word articles.

Article Content Source #2: Old Original Forum Posts

If you've been on the Internet for some time, there is a good chance you belong to a few forums that you might call yourself a "resident expert" on. All of your old forum posts that are greater than 250 words in length will make great new articles that you can put into distribution to create more traffic and sales for your business, if not to enhance your credibility alone.

Article Content Source #3: Old Blog Posts

The whole point of blogging, besides posting frequently, is that you can easily syndicate your blog for others to read via the RSS reader of their choice. Because of the syndication orientation of blogging, your blog posts that are greater than 250 words make great articles that you can slap on a longer title, add a resource box that pitches your blog website and put a fast 250-100+ articles into immediate distribution.

Article Content Source #4: Out of Date Books

Are you an author that has a book that is no longer in print? If you own the copyrights to it, this is an excellent place to create hundreds of quality articles with just a few days or a week of editing.

Article Content Source #5: Your Current e-Books

Grab 10%-20% of your hottest selling ebook and flip it into articles designed to introduce your reader into wanting the whole ebook from you. You still need to deliver real content value here and not get skimpy or tease them with what they could learn if they bought your ebook.' Just keep the articles short, with bullets or small numbered lists.

Article Content Source #6: Top 10 or Top 7 Articles

Everyone likes content they can read very fast. Why not create top 10 lists (or any number of "Top" things) related to your niche or area of expertise. To begin, just create a headline such as "Top 7 Leaders Strategies For Newbie Managers" and then number the list from 1-7. Come up with a sub-headline for each tip and then do (1) paragraph describing the tip. You'll find these are easy to produce and crank out 5-10 of them per day.

Article Content Source #7: Keyword Research

Using Google Suggest ( http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en&complete=1 ) or any keyword research tool, you can enter in keyword relating to your niche and discover topics that people are currently searching for that are related to your expertise. Use this as a springboard to launch another 25 articles that are 250-450 words each related to answering or providing short tips on how to solve or get more out of the keywords they searched for. Example: "Yoga" when entered into Google Suggest tells me that I should write articles about "Yoga Journals or Journaling" and about proper form or different types of "Yoga Poses."

ps: Would it surprise you if I told you that this very article was created from a compilation of blog entries that I created over the past 2 months? I just stitched together relevant blog posts until I had a brand new article that delivered a single themed message...and YOU CAN DO IT TOO! :-)

Health Insurance For Preexisting Conditions

So you have a preexisting medical condition? And you are looking for affordable healthcare coverage. Right! These are some of the most common health concerns today.

Or maybe you have just moved from one job to another and your new employer does not offer a healthcare plan. Or possibly you lost your group insurance coverage due to some situation completely outside your control. When someone is confronted with these situations and they also have pre existing conditions, this really makes it tough to find affordable health coverage. The main reason is obvious... the risk you impose to the insurer is just too great.

Preexisting conditions involving health are defined and treated differently from insurance company to insurance company. Generally speaking, a pre existing condition is any medical condition that a policyholder had knowledge of, or was treated for, prior to enrolling in a healthcare plan. This really becomes a problem when individuals with preexisting conditions are forced to seek new health coverage because of a change in employment or other reasons. It may only take what looks like a small reason, but an insurer can deny a policy completely or to maybe refuse coverage of the pre existing conditions.

You can find health insurance for preexisting conditions but this may not be easy. There are some insurance companies who will provide you with health coverage; however, most companies will not. Typically the insurance companies do not wish to provide coverage for circumstances that are already known to exist. Let's be honest, insurers prefer to insure people who are not likely to NEED health insurance.

One way insurance carriers try to discourage people from waiting until they get sick to purchase a health plan is to impose a pre-existing condition exclusion period. What this means is that if you have a medical condition at the time you enroll into or purchase a health plan, the insurance companies can deny all claims pertaining to that medical condition for a certain period of time. So when looking for an individual healthcare policy, the rules governing the pre-existing condition exclusion period can vary widely from state to state. Usually this is limited to 12 months and applies to health conditions for which you sought treatment in the 6 months leading up to enrollment. If you have a letter of creditable coverage you may be able to reduce or completely offset your pre existing condition exclusion period. For example, if you were covered under an individual or group policy before enrolling, you may be able to subtract the amount of time you were covered from the pre-existing condition exclusion period.

The insurance choices for those with a pre-existing condition are somewhat limited. Hopefully you can enroll with an employer-sponsored group health plan. This is your best choice by far but for many this is not possible. Maybe a professional organization such as the Chamber of Commerce can provide you with some health coverage.

Applying for individual health insurance is still a possibility but you will probably meet with some insurance declines before you can obtain acceptable healthcare. If your state has a risk pool then this is something you definitely investigate. Today, Guaranteed Issue Health Insurance is becoming a great alternative as better health plans exist now than just a few years ago.

It really does not matter if they are covered by insurance or not, the total cost of healthcare for someone with pre existing conditions will be high enough to dramatically impact that persons lifestyle. To get the best possible health insurance for your preexisting conditions, you will need to investigate your choices, do your homework and make wise decisions. Only you can judge what is best for your situation.

What To Look For When You Buy A Mini DV Camcorder

If you want to capture those special moments and events of your life quickly and easily and know that they will always be as vibrant and clear as the day that you recorded them, a digital camcorder is what you need. And today the most popular format of digital camcorder is the Mini DV. Because all of the recording of both audio and video is done in digital instead of analog, the resulting images and sound are clear, crisp and vibrant. And thanks to digital technology they will not degrade over time or due to being copied over and over again. So here are some important things you should look for when you decide to buy a Mini DV camcorder:

* Get as good a LCD screen as you can. These small camcorders are so tiny that using an eyepiece for any extended period of time is wearing, but having a large clear LCD screen that swivels and tilts will let you get shots that you couldn't get if the camcorder was glued to your eye. It will also let you walk around and record while still keeping an eye out for where you are going, so make the LCD screen an important consideration.

* The mini DV camcorder that you select should also have a still picture capability. Most do these days, but just make sure that the one you choose does as well. This can be an extremely handy feature as it lets you take both moving video and still shots so you don't need to carry a camcorder and a digital camera at the same. They are both right there with you in the Mini DV recorder.

* Be sure that you get image stabilization in the digital camcorder that you select as this will go a long way toward helping you create smooth videos that others will enjoy watching, instead of feeling seasick after just a few minutes because of all of the camera shake introduced as you filmed.

* Try to get a Mini DV camcorder that conserves power as much as possible too. You will find a wide range of power consumption when it comes to camcorders. Some sip power and others drink it down fast. If you plan on using your digital camcorder a lot, it will be good to look for one that can go around 1-2 hours on a set of batteries before needing to be recharged. If the camcorder you choose does not have that kind of power consumption savings, be sure to stock up on extra betteries and have them ready and charged when filming.

* Autofocus can be extremely important if you tend to record fast action video scenes or need to film while moving. Focusing is just one more thing that you have to worry about in these cases, and removing that burden can be a big relief, allowing you to focus on the action itself.

If you are planning to buy a Mini DV camcorder plan on spending at least mid $300s for one, and of course more for those with advanced features.

Cat Tick Collar

Collars are a simple and quick way of controlling tick infestation. There are safe on kittens as well as adults cats, and give them with much needed respite from the scratching and itching caused by ticks. Collars are available in all sizes and fits cats of different sizes.

Cat tick collars play an effective role in killing ticks, but should be properly applied. A cat must feel comfortable in a tick collar. So make the perfect measurement by placing two fingers between the neck and the collar. Cut off all surplus parts from the collar after it has been applied properly. This is to prevent the animals from chewing its ends.

Read the instructions given on the packet. Many collars lose effectives upon getting wet. Check if the collar is causing irritation. If so, you may have to use a different product.

Never use collars which contain amitraz, organophosphates or permethrin on cats. Instead use collars containing pyrethroids or carbamates as they are safer for your cat.

Remember to get rid of ticks, the tick has to actively contact with the ingredient. For example, the tick needs to come near the collar and feed on the pet. Only then will the insecticide enter the tick and kill it. An effective tick collar can wipe out the ticks in a matter of 24 hours or even less. This will reduce the danger of transmitting diseases caused by ticks.

The collar must be loosely worn, but secure enough to stop easy removal. Leave sufficient length for the collar to expand, especially for kittens, as a cat will keep growing.

Replace the collar once every four months. Do not use it on sick and nursing cats not on aged and pregnant ones. Repeat treatment only if tick problem persists.

You can make a naturally effective tick collar made from essential oils. Choose absorbent collars that will soak up essential oils. Use oil that is 100% pure, such oils repel ticks. Use an eyedropper, as just one or two drops will be enough. In case the cat is sensitive to strong smells, start with one drop and gradually increase it to two. Avoid citronella as cats are hyper-perceptive to citrus.

The efficacy of tick collars depends on factors such as the climate and mode of utilization. Heat, light, rain, irregular use will reduce a collars effectiveness. The collar needs to be worn constantly for good results.

Most Profitable Movies Of All Times

Movies, just like any other form of business, are investments for their makers. When decisions are made about whether to make the movie or not, the business people ask, how much money can we make?

Just like going to the bank and looking for the best investment, filmmakers look for the best investment. Some look for the best script that will make the most money or the best director that will drive people to the box offices. Others look for the best actor or lately the best computer animator to win the Oscar. Some look for the best budget for the project so they can have all the special affects and make extra dollars for the creators.

Movies, apart from entertainment for the crowd, are money making machines. It is the difference between what goes out and what comes in that will determine the success.

Surprisingly, some of the best movies of all times have made enormous profits, with over 7104 times the investment profit.

Number 1 - most profitable movie of all time

The most profitable movie of all time is "The Blair Witch Project" (1999). The movie tells the story of three young students who get lost in the woods while filming a documentary about a local legend. After several horrific days, they all disappear without any sign but their video and sound equipment. The brilliance of the movie was in the making and marketing. The actors, who were given a vague description of the plot, acted in such a way that the audience perceived it as a real documentary movie. This low budget movie was around $35000 and profit was 7107 times the initial investment and reached a top of $ 248,662, 839. No joke!

Number 2 - most profitable movie of all time

The second most profitable movie of all times is "American Graffiti" (1973), a George Lucas movie. This movie was a low budget movie. It was the first movie to use Rock and Roll music because it was the cheapest Lucas could afford. The film escorted a group of recently graduated teens and their stories during one night of hanging out on the streets in the summer of 1962. The movie was nominated for 5 Oscars and 5 other nominations and 7 other awards. The budget of the movie was $750,000 and the profit was 153 times more at $115,000,000.

Number 3 - most profitable movie of all time

The third most profitable movie of all time is, believe it or not, "Snow White and the Seven dwarves", an animated movie from 1937 from Disney's art room. "Snow white and the seven dwares" was Walt Disney's first full- length production and told the Brothers Grimm story of little Snow White hunted by her wicked step mother and saved by the adorable 7 dwarves. The budget for the movie was $1,488,000 (a proof that Walt Disney was a great visionary) with a profit of 126 times, resulting with $187,670,866 profit.

After the first three most profitable movies of all time, come others with an enormous profit rate:
"The Rocky Horror Picture Show" (1975) with ratio of 116 times the investment.

"Rocky" (1976) with 106 times the investment

"Gone with the Wind" (1939) with 102 times profit.

In seventh place, "E.T" (1982) with profits of 75 times the investment.

And in eighth place, "My big fat Greek Wedding" with an initial investment of 5 million dollars and profit of $368,744,044.

As you can see, the size of the budget does not matter.

Tsoof and Eden love to download movies from the Internet.
